Iulian Trif

About Me

I'm Iulian. Everyone calls me Iuli, except for my girlfriend when she's pissed off with me. I was born with the desire of making things do what I want. Unfortunately, this is not applicable to every aspect of life (just imagine the possibilities). So yeah, I like technology. I do web apps and I'm particularly good at it. High traffic, complex, scalable, usable, <enter your buzzword here> web apps.

What I Do

Laravel

Over 4 years of expertise around Laravel, it is my good, my bad and my ugly best friend in terms of backend. Always keeping up to date with the ecosystem.

AWS / DO / Laravel Vapor

I like to get my hands dirty with some devops related stuff pretty often, it's good that we have hand sanitizers all over the place. I also like serverless. Like a lot!

Vue.js

Not particularly a fan of Javascript, but hey, you've got to do what you've got to do. Ok, I'll admit it! From time to time I use jQuery, like I do for this website.

Coverletter

I hope this letter finds you in a mood as bright as my personality! My name is Iulian, but you can call me Iuli unless you plan on getting mad at me (in which case, I suggest sticking with my full name).

When it comes to making things do what I want, I've found that Laravel is one of the few things that actually listens to me. I can build web apps that are high traffic, complex, scalable, and usable with my eyes closed (although, to be honest, that's not the most efficient way to code). I mean, even my cat stops scratching up my furniture just to watch me code. I live and breathe Laravel, as I’m constantly staying up to date with everything related to the ecosystem and I'm always eager to learn more.

So why do I want to work for your company? Well, for starters, I've heard that your team is pretty awesome (although, let's be real, I'm the one who's going to make it even better). Plus, I'm pretty sure that with my skills and your team, we could create something amazing.

Thank you for considering my application. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you (preferably with a job offer and a slice of pizza, but I'll settle for a funny cat video).
